Independence Day Celebration

Auxilium Primary School, Carona, celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India on 15th August 2026 with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The celebration, held on the theme “Freedom with Responsibility,” commenced at 8:00 a.m. in the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. John Francis Savio Rodrigues, the Management, teachers, students and staff. The programme began with a meaningful prayer service that highlighted the importance of using freedom responsibly and contributing towards building a better society. The students then presented patriotic songs, inspiring speeches and a beautiful dance performance, filling the atmosphere with national pride and enthusiasm. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest paid tribute to the freedom fighters and encouraged the students to become responsible and caring citizens. He also appreciated the Management for nurturing patriotic values among the young. The programme was followed by the distribution of scholarships to deserving students by the Lions Club of Aldona. The celebration concluded on a joyful note with samosas and Frooti sponsored by the Lions Club of Aldona. The memorable celebration instilled in the students a deeper sense of patriotism and reminded them that freedom is not only a right but also a responsibility.
